Guild Wars kicks _ASS_. Hard. Wearing an exomech and using High Sorcery.

Not that I like it or anything.

I might be tempted to give it a go, but with no Linux or MacOS versions, it sucks bigtime.

Actually, I browsed some thru the site, and havent found system requirements. From the screenshots thought and the fact that is fairly new game I think that my olde graphics card wouldn't be enough.

And it doesn't have Linux client...2

O yea if you want to join my guild leave me a message either here or on the Dragon Hawks forum

Ok here are the specs strait from the main site:

What are the system requirements for Guild Wars?

   Minimum System Specs

       * Windows XP/2000/ME/98
       * Intel Pentium III 800 Mhz or equivalent
       * 256 MB RAM
       * CD-ROM Drive
       * 2 GB Available HDD Space
       * ATI Radeon 8500 or GeForce 3 or 4 MX Series Video Card with 32MB of VRAM
       * 16-bit Sound Card
       * Internet connection
       * Keyboard and mouse

   Recommended System Specs:

       * Windows XP/2000/ME/98
       * Intel Pentium III 1GHz or equivalent
       * 512 MB RAM
       * CD-ROM Drive
       * 2 GB Available HDD Space
       * ATI Radeon 9000 or GeForce 4 Ti Series Video Card with 64MB of VRAM
       * 16-bit Sound Card
       * Internet connection
       * Keyboard and mouse

   Special Note: These system specifications are for the released version of Guild Wars. Those participating in the World Preview Event or the Beta Weekend Event, as well as our alpha and beta testers, will find that they require more available hard drive space in the short term. This extra space will not be needed when Guild Wars goes gold.

Thanks for the info Stealth Dragon.

Haven't decided if I will pick it up yet, still having lots of fun in City of Heroes. And with Emilie only being 9 weeks old, it doesn't leave a lot of time for playing on the computer.

I'm playing Guild Wars too...

Aussies/New Zealanders: http://www.anzgw.com

Currently I'm focussing on my "Anonymous Coward X" character - Elementalist/Mesmer (as of writing, up to the "D'Alissio Seaboard" mission)

Guild Wars looks fantastic, runs fairly well on a relatively old system (Athlon XP 1800, Radeon 9600XT, 1.5GB RAM), even with most of the graphics up fairly high. (4x FSAA, 1280x720, Reflections, Textures, and Landscapes set to high)

And yes, I'm running it on widescreen, because I've now got a widescreen aspect ratio LCD Panel.

Guildwars rules!!!

I'm having great time, looking for skillz so I can kick ass.  One of the most statisfying aspects of the game in my opinion, you gotta play to learn the skills, you just don't get them for grinding levels.

Mesmer/Monk Sancria Kaliorinin

BTW, this is just a small tip, if you are starting the game, do all the beginning quests for all the secondary professions, you'll gain more skills that allow you to diversify.   The elementalist skill that heals you as you cast spells is uber useful on lower levels.
I'd gladly travel back in time, except I would have to wait longer for the next chapter of Fel's work...sorry, pass.
