For those of you who remember the IRC channel
For those of you who remember the IRC channel
I reinstalled mIRC on my puter and will at least *try* to show up from time to time.
No promises though.
I went on last night, and man, did NewNet ever die out.

Breaks out Whip, shouldn't you be writing or doing school work not playing in IRC?

Re: For those of you who remember the IRC channel
pft, IRC is fun. You've never seen me when I'm in sleep deprivation.
Just ask Greymist. I think some logs of me are still circulated in dark alleys on IRC. I was never particularly known for my self control when I was on IRC, and when I'm tired, it's almost like I'm drunk.
The scary part is I used to be an IRCop. You should never hand dictatorial powers to someone whose discipline decreases exponentially every hour he is awake.

IRC on my 9600 baud modem was fun. I miss being a 13/14 year old ass who knew all there was to know about nickserv/chanserv, who got lists of proxies on obscure ports to use to evade bans, and generally caused havoc (you remember mouser/#chatzone I assume?).Fel wrote:pft, IRC is fun. I would bust out the logs but I lost them about 2 years ago when a brand new 200gb hard drive I bought and had moved all my backups onto died >_>. At that time I believe I had logs for 6 years prior (from every channel I had joined and every query window I had).

You need a hobby, mate...Greymist wrote:At that time I believe I had logs for 6 years prior (from every channel I had joined and every query window I had).
I wish I had time to get on irc, but unfortunately school's being stubborn right now... I'll just have to show it what I do to stubborn people...

I think it's your IP I should be running through the kitten-war filter

Re: For those of you who remember the IRC channel
I must have missed something somewhere... what's the kitten-war filter?

Oh dear.

That, but slightly altered so that instead of just filtering Wireless connections, use IP Tables to redirect incoming traffic to sennadar.com or forums.sennadar.com from various IPs through the kitten-war/upside-down/blurry filtering proxy.

Yup, I did indeed miss something. That's hysterical. That's ALMOST as good as Barbie-ing someone...

Re: For those of you who remember the IRC channel
It only works if they're still using Internet Explorer, but you set their home page to http://www.barbie.com, then locking their system registry so they can't change it back. Or worse, change their system registry so they can't even see that part of internet options. Then just sit back and watch the fun... Useful for reminding someone that they need to password their computer.
